Winsystems announces the sale of its Gaming Division to Primero Games, opening a new chapter for the business

Winsystems announced today the sale of its Gaming Division (“WSG”), which includes its Gold Club electronic roulette business, to Primero Games LLC (“Primero”), a US provider of content, technology, and products for the gaming industry.

The transaction marks the beginning of an important new chapter for Winsystems' Gaming Division, combining WSG's established international footprint, product portfolio, manufacturing capabilities, and customer relationships with Primero's game content, technology, and development resources.

Winsystems' Gaming Division has established a strong international presence, with an installed base of more than 3,000 gaming positions in Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Puerto Rico, and Panama, as well as operations and customers in numerous markets worldwide.

Under Primero's ownership, the Gaming Division will continue to support its current customers, products, and operations, while gaining access to Primero's extensive game portfolio, platform technology, and development capabilities.

“This combination strengthens both companies,” said Eric Benchimol, CEO of Winsystems. “By combining our installed base, manufacturing operations, and market knowledge with Primero’s game portfolio and development engine, we will be able to offer our customers more and better products, and do so faster than either company could achieve separately. The team is excited and we look forward to working as part of Primero.”.

“This transaction marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our Gaming Division,” said Dario Zutel, Executive Chairman of Winsystems. “We are confident that Primero Games is the right partner to continue developing everything we have achieved and to drive the business into its next stage of international growth.”

“This is an important step in executing Primero's growth strategy to build a global, diversified gaming company,” said Mike Macke, Chairman of Primero Games. “Primero has built its reputation by creating engaging game content and developing innovative technology that helps operators generate consistent revenue through compelling player experiences.”

“We are very excited to welcome Eric Benchimol, Dario Zutel, and the talented WSG team to Primero,” added Macke. “By combining Primero's content and development expertise with WSG's products, operations, and customer relationships, we will be able to offer more products, more content, and greater value to our customers in a wider range of gaming markets.”.

International Expansion

Primero has an established presence in US gaming markets, with a portfolio that includes game content, online gaming solutions, redemption kiosks, and an established omnichannel gaming platform. The acquisition of WSG adds recognized products, manufacturing capabilities, and long-standing customer relationships in international markets.

WSG's teams and infrastructure will continue to support customers in Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Panama, and many other countries worldwide. Primero and WSG are committed to ensuring continuity for all their customers as Primero invests in the business and introduces new products, content, and technologies.
